100 thou grid. Advantages: High stability, low "wobble", greater accuracy. Nominal current: 2 to 4 Amp, typical resistance: 20 mOhm, standard spring force: 2 Newton (alternative available: 0.6 N, 1.0 N, 1.5 N, 2.25 N, 3 N), recommended minimum centers: 2.54 mm (100 thou), recommended mounting hole size: 1.68-1.69 mm in hard paper core enclosed by glass fibre, 1.69-1.70 mm in pure glass fibre material, 1.70-1.75 mm if using Press Rings, minimum test point size: 0.8 mm, recommended operating stroke: 5 mm (6.4 mm maximum). Materials. Barrel: gold plated nickel silver. Spring: gold plated steel. Plunger: beryllium copper or steel with gold, rhodium or nickel plate.

Please Note: The difference between series 100 and series 975 is a 5 mm longer barrel, as seen in the diagrammes above. To order the longer version 975 Test Probe, please substitute "100" with "975" in the order part numbers shown for each tip style. The purpose of the longer probe is to allow interchangeable use with the same receptacle, for example, to contact a via hole without also having to replace the receptacle to obtain the longer reach necessary.
