Ingun Bladed Tip Probe is World-Beater



Ingun are pleased to announce the new "Blade" tip style (type 98) is now part of the GKS 100 and GKS 075 range of test probes. The gold plated Bladed tip is one of the most aggressive and robust tips in the Ingun range and is ideally suited for via-hole and test-pad contacting on contaminated boards.

Ingun Lead the World with Revolutionary Probe... the E-Type

The E-type Probe, with a much higher pre-load spring than standard probes offers a greatly enhanced initial contact reliability, thereby reducing non-genuine defects and increasing board throughput. The E-type Probe is in all phsyical characteristics interchangeable with most manufacturers 100 and 75 thou range of standard probes.

Test Probe Selection List

The list below represents a selection of the more commonly used types of test probe out of the extensive range available from Ingun. The probes are organised according to the requirements of the test fixture and the nature of the test to be performed: if they are for standard sensing, how closely together must the probes be? do you require probes to be pneumatically operated? are they for high-current use? are you measuring an ultra high frequency signal? do you require probes that cannot rotate as they make contact, or do you want probes that must rotate?

Each probe then has a selection of tip styles to choose from according to the requirements of the device under test: is it a bare PC board? are you making contact on a soldered pin, a pad, a wire wrap post, etc? is the board fresh from the production line or has it been in service for some years? Each probe can in addition have a variety of plating materials and spring pressures according to the particular application to ensure that the probe you use is exactly suited to your needs.

Finally, you have a wide choice of fittings: sleeves to adjust the height at which the probes sit where a board under test requires that, and receptacles to connect the probes to your test fixture with wire wrapping, plug-on connectors and soldered wires, either pre-fitted or with open bore.

Ingun have also announced "Aurun", a new plating material that offers superior performance and longer life.
